Summer 2005 : as during the previous summers, The Ensemble Trecanum has effected oncemore a musical tour towards southern Europa : The concerts took place in three countries :
in Italy, from July 23 to 26 : in Schlanders (Sudtirol), in Pisignano (near Rimini), in the very nice romanic church Pieve di San Stefano, which was recently restored, and in Monte Sant'Angelo, in the Sanctuary of the Archangel St. Michael, in Puglie. That is an extraordinary place, for its spiritual history and for its magnificent geographic location upon the sea.
in Croatia, from July 28 to August 3 : The Ensemble Trecanum had a
second occasion to perform there.

August 2 in Split, the capital of Dalmatia ; The Ensemble Trecanum did not sing in the cathedral, as in September 20002 : this concert took place outside, in the very nice cloister of the franciscan's church, and was organised by the Alliance Française of Split. The public was very cordial and interested, like in all other croatian places ;
August 3 in Rijeka : the end of the croatian part of the musical tour :
a concert in the Virgin Mary's sanctuary of Trsat : the Ensemble Trecanum was invited by the Franciscan Community established in this famous pilgrimage place: the very beautiful baroque basilica is located in the suburb of the great croatian harbour.
Selon la tradition, l'histoire du sanctuaire remonte au XIIIème siècle., quand les anges transportèrent la maison de la Vierge Marie de Nazareth à Trsat, après la prise de Nazareth par les turcs. La tradition rapporte également que les anges portèrent quelques années plus tard cette même maison à Loreto en Italie, où elle se trouve actuellement.
Slovenia : the end of the tour :
August 4 in Ptuj, in the great and very beautiful gothic church Sv. Jurija located in the old city, which is overhung by its castel (15. cent.)
August 5, the last concert, in the former monastery of Kostanjevica.
The concert took place in the Brezice Festival.
A magnificent place which has an exceptional acoustics.
September : come back in Alsatia.
September 9 : Wissembourg : concert in the former abbeychurch St Peter and Paul, one among the most beautiful gothic churches in Alsatia. The former Benedictine abbey was built in 623 ky the King Dagobert I.
September 10 : concert in the small baroque church of Colroy-la-Roche (in the Vosges mountains)
Autumn 2005 : like in 2004, the Ensemble Trecanum has performed in Germany
September 30 : Gernrode, in the great St. Cyriaque's church.
Gernrode, is located in the Harz, on the route of romanic. The Ensemble Trecanum performed in this extraordinary former abbeychurch (photos) from the Otton's time, at the end of 10. century.
October 1 : Fürstenwalde an der Spree (near Berlin), concert in the St. Mary's church. This "Hallkirche" from 14. century was destroyed by russian bombs at the end of the Second world war. This great church was rebuilded during the nineties, and integrate all elements of the former church which could be saved from the ruins.
October 2 : Bayreuth, concert in the beautiful gothic "Stadtkirche"
October 15 : new activities in Alsatia : in Boersch (near the St Odile Mount) : the animation of a mass in the parish church, and at once after, a concert on the thematic : "Ave Maris"
November 2005 : the first ST. MARTIN'S FESTIVAL in Strasbourg :
The Ensemble Trecanum had founded the Festival de la Saint-Martin, the gregorian and medieval days in Strasbourg. Concerts, liturgic celebrations and workshops took place from November 11. to 14. (sea the internet site of the festival). The first concert was a performance of the Ensemble Trecanum in the former romanic abbey church of Eschau (in the suburb of strasbourg). The Ensemble trecanum took part to the final concert with the famous french organist and composer Thierry Escaich.
an Advent concert in Strasbourg :
the last performance ot the year 2005 took place in the church of St Louis of Strasbourg, which is situated near the european institutions, with the participation of Pascal Reber, the titular organist of the cathedral's Great Organ in Strasbourg.
